A GVW change alongside the registration
Depending on the technical parameters of the specific vehicle, the gross vehicle weight can be reduced at the same time:

Cars with SALVAGE documents
The offer also covers vehicles with American documents such as a Salvage Title, Certificate of Title or Certificate of Destruction, along with other documents relating to accident-damaged vehicles. We analyse every case individually.
The car must be complete, properly repaired, adapted to European traffic and in a technical condition that allows it to be approved for the road. In particular, it may be necessary to adapt or replace:
- the front headlights,
- the rear lamps,
- the indicators,
- the rear fog light,
- other components required by European technical regulations.
Case study: a Ford F-150 on a Salvage Title
After the required inspections, technical changes and the full registration procedure, the vehicle received German registration documents. The Briefs part I and II now state the make Ford USA, the model F-150 and the updated technical parameters, including a GVW of 3500 kg. The data was officially entered into the German vehicle register.
What to prepare for the initial analysis

- photos of the car taken at an angle - from the front and from the rear,
- a photo of the nameplate,
- information about the current technical condition of the vehicle,
- information on whether the car has already been customs-cleared within the European Union,
- information on the GVW value you want the vehicle changed to.

Do I have to bring the car to Germany?
We carry out the initial analysis remotely, based on photos and documents, but for the technical inspection and registration the car must ultimately be presented in Germany. We operate right by the Polish-German border, 15 km from the A18 route, so the journey is short.
Will you register a car with a Salvage Title?
Yes, provided the vehicle is complete, properly repaired and adapted to European traffic. We analyse every case individually - send photos of the car, the nameplate and the American registration document, and we will tell you whether registration and a GVW change are possible.
